Whether you are sitting a NEBOSH Certificate or Diploma, or an IOSH qualification, you will have an exam to prepare for.  So, this blog post will tell you how to study for your exams!

Study plans are a great way to organise your time when you are studying, as it will stop you from feeling overwhelmed by the amount of information you have to learn.  This means that you can plan what you are going to study and when, saving yourself time when it comes to actually studying.  However, you need to ensure that you actually stick to this plan – there’s no point making a plan if you are going to ignore it.

Practise past exam papers to give yourself an idea of what to expect.  By doing this you can focus your efforts and revise effectively!

Also, use the support you have around you.  Whether this is asking friends or family to test you on course content, or finding other people on your course who can help to keep you motivated, you can work with each other to make your study time easier.

Finally, make sure that you are well rested and healthy.  Making sure that you sleep well and eat well will give you more energy and more concentration than if you are running on little to no sleep.  Also, ensure that you are aware of the time and location of your exam, and bring whatever equipment you will need.

I hope these tips have given you an idea of how to study for your exams, and you can check out my guide on how to be a NEBOSH success for extra tips for your NEBOSH course here.
